Team England played golf for more than 14 hours raising money for Macmillan
Team England took part in Macmillan's Longest Day golf event on the 5th August at The Addington Golf Club, for which they managed to raise more than £6,000.
The team, consisting of (photo from left) Cyril Kieldsen, Nick Todd, Peter Haywood and David Miles teed off at 5.40am, made more than 300 shots, walked in excess of 20 miles and finally finished the day at 8.20pm with very sore feet.
Peter Haywood said: “The team thoroughly enjoyed their day. The weather was good and our best golf was played in the last round! Needless to say I didn't play again for a few days!”
Helene Poursain, fundraising manager for East Surrey, says: “It is fantastic that Team England choose to take part in such a challenge and raise money for people affected by cancer. We would like to say thank you to the four members and hope that their feet have finally recovered and that they are back on the golf course."
