The Brockham and Betchworth Belles
The Brockham & Betchworth Belles celebrate their success after raising an amazing £5,544.42 with the sale of their bare all calendar in aid of Macmillan.
The idea was inspired by the loss of their friend, Louise Francis, and dedicated to other friends and families who have been affected by cancer. Led by Cathy Bushe the project very quickly received overwhelming support from local people in the village who wanted to assist and women who wanted to star in the calendar.
With a photographer and ‘touch up’ man on board the shots took place in various local surroundings within the village and everyone involved had a great deal of fun and laughs. Calendars were sold for £10 at various shops and outlets in the villages.
As Helene Poursain, Fundraising Manager states “the calendar is a true testament of the spirit and determination of the ladies and a real tribute for those friends and family that have had their lives affected by cancer. The Brockham & Betchworth Belles and all involved should be incredibly proud of their efforts and the Surrey Fundraising Team is incredible grateful for the fantastic sum of money donated.
