Zipvit again choose Macmillan as its charity of the year
ZipVit at Rugeley will continue to support Macmillan in 2012, and recently presented a cheque for £18,673 for donations received in 2011.
Sarah from ZipVit said: "We gave our customers the choice of not receiving the free gift but to donate £1 to Macmillan Cancer Support instead. The outcome has been astonishing and since 2008 we have been able to donate Macmillan a staggering £46,059, a testimony to the extreme generosity of our millions of customers."
ZipVit is a supplier of supplements. For every order over £25, customers have the option to select a free gift. If you do not wish to receive a gift from the selection offered, you may instead make a gift of £1 to Macmillan Cancer Support. Visit www.zipvit.co.uk| for more information.
Fundraising Manager for Staffordshire, Beverley Smith, was delighted to receive the donation on behalf of Macmillan. She said: "We are so grateful to ZipVit for its continued support over the years and to its customers for their very generous donations."
Macmillan works to improve the lives of people affected by cancer, and we provide emotional, practical, medical and financial support. Whether it’s counselling, a grant to help with the additional costs that cancer can bring, advice on benefits, a Macmillan nurse to help people in their home, or just someone to talk to, Macmillan can help. It relies on voluntary donations for 96% of its income.
