If a customer does not wish to receive a free gift from the selection offered, they may instead make a gift of £1 to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Sarah Dinshaw – ZipVit Sales Manager said: 'We have always offered our customers free gifts when they spend over a certain value, but we started to receive suggestions from customers not to opt for the gifts and to possibly donate to charity instead.'
Therefore, since August of 2008, we gave our customers the choice of not receiving the free gift but to donate £1 to Macmillan Cancer Support instead. The outcome has been astonishing we have been able to donate £64,059 to Macmillan to date. This is a testimony to the generosity of our million plus customers. In 2012 we continued to support Macmillan and raised just over £17,000 to help people affected by cancer”.
