Muggy
Mac Mug, Macmillan's mascot for their flagship fundraising event the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, has escaped and we need your help to find him.
Mac Mug, aged 20, also responds to the name of Muggy. Muggy must be found by Friday 30 September so he doesn’t miss out on coffee and cake at his 21st birthday coffee morning where he is raising money for people affected by cancer. Today more people than ever are living with cancer. So, this year Macmillan needs to raise even more to pay for their vital cancer support services.
Muggy was last seen on Penistone Road in Sheffield. He is not dangerous so please give him a cuddle and have your picture taken with him – then post it on the ‘Macmillan Cancer Support – South Yorkshire & Derbyshire’ facebook page to help us find him.
Natalie Barker, World’s Biggest Coffee Morning Intern explains: 'Why not make Muggy’s birthday really special and sign up today to host your own event. A coffee morning can be held at home, work or in the community. You could serve smoothies and herbal tea rather than coffee or it could be a glamorous coffee-themed evening, quiz night or garden party.'
She continues: 'ou can also organise raffles, have a dress down day at work or school or show your creative side by attempting some wacky record breaking attempts.'
I you would like to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer, then register to host your own coffee morning and receive a free fundraising pack by calling 0845 602 1246 or visiting http://coffee.macmillan.org.uk/Home.aspx|
