Macmillan supporters gather at Kingston Bagpuize House
Locals in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire got the chance to find out what exactly a legacy left to Macmillan could really do for people affected by cancer.
Legacies, or gifts in wills, fund over one in three of all Macmillan Cancer Support’s services. Surprised? Most people are which is why Macmillan hosted a legacy reception event recently at Kingston Bagpuize House near Abingdon. The event provided a rare opportunity to hear lots about Macmillan’s work in the local area, meet Macmillan’s amazing professionals, as well as the local Macmillan legacy adviser Richard Sproson. As one guest commented, it was "An excellent presentation and very enlightening as to what Macmillan do." Gifts in wills are vital in enabling Macmillan to provide vital medical, emotional, financial and practical support now and for future generations of people affected by cancer.
