A balloon release was held during October in County Durham to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Graham Thorpe organised the event to raise some much needed funds for Macmillan. Graham, who has recently been in contact with the local Macmillan services wanted to give something back for the services he had received. He has arranged this type of event before and knew exactly what to do.
Once all of the arrangements were in place Graham went along to local car boot sales on a Sunday morning to sell the balloons. We were amazed to find the winning balloon and second place were found in Denmark!

The balloon release raised a fantastic £1064 for Macmillan, which will go a long way to supporting people like Graham and their families.
