Mrs Tice, trustee of the Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation, handing over the cheque to Macmillan County Chairwoman in Northamptonshire, Lady Morton.
A huge donation of £50,000 has been handed over to Macmillan Cancer Support form the Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation to boost the charity appeal fund.
Mrs Tice, trustee of the Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation, handed over the cheque to Macmillan County Chairwoman in Northamptonshire Lady Morton on Friday.
Mrs Tice said: 'My father set up the foundation. We are a local family who live in Teeton and father didn’t want to give all his money to the taxman, so he set up the charitable foundation.
'We have given the money to many good causes over the years and this project is one of them. This is a cause I believe in and I think it’s important to help where we can. I hope the money will make a difference and will encourage more people to come forward and donate.'
We rely on the generosity of people like this to keep doing the work we do and this is going to get us a lot closer to our £1.55 million target and help ensure the new haematology unit at Northampton General Hospital is up and running as soon as possible for the patients and staff members who really want and need it.
