Macmillan Cancer Support is hosting its World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 28 September 2012 to raise vital money for people affected by cancer. Macmillan wants this year’s coffee morning to be the biggest ever, and so they need lots of people from Yorkshire and Humberside to register and take part now.
Sally Backhouse, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning Intern, explains that now is the time to sign up and show Macmillan your support. 'The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is such a special event to be part of. It’s all about getting together with the people you love over a cup of coffee and helping people with cancer. With only three months to go, now is the time to register and start planning your coffee morning.'
Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. One in three people receive a cancer diagnosis at some point in their lives and so the charity’s support is vital. Macmillan provides practical, medical, emotional and financial support, and pushes for better cancer care. The money that people raise through the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in 2012 will help the charity continue to make a difference to the lives of people living with cancer.
Sally says: 'We’re really grateful to the people of Yorkshire and Humberside for the support you’ve shown us over the years. We hope that locals will get involved and make this year the biggest ever! Every single penny makes the difference to people affected by cancer. We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you, so a big thank you for your continued support.'
