All Cars Online (a car club set up in Malton) got their buckets and sponges out on Saturday 2 June for a car wash at Spanner It in Darlington to raise money for Macmillan.
The car wash raised over £250 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Michael Hill from All Cars Online said: ‘My family, and a few members of All Cars Online, have called upon Macmillan in the past. They have helped people through the tough times that cancer brings, and we want to show our support towards them as a thank you.'
All Cars Online was set up a few years ago. Michael says: 'The aim of the club is for all car enthusiasts, no matter what age, or what car they have, to enjoy their cars sensibly and have fun at the same time.’
Sally Millington, Fundraising manager for Macmillan appreciates the support: 'All Cars Online are a fantastic group. They are so enthusiastic and passionate about supporting the charity, and they really do make a difference to people living with cancer. Thank you to everyone who went along and got involved. They have raised a magnificent amount from the car wash, which will help Macmillan to reach people who are going through one of the toughest things they might ever have to face. We can offer practical, medical, emotional and financial support to people who need it.'
With lots of social meet-ups and fun events planned throughout the year All Cars Online are hoping to have a good time and raise vital funds for people affected by cancer. If you would like to sign up to the site for free, please visit www.all-carsonline.co.uk|.
