In action in the Manchester Marathon
Two outstanding supporters of Macmillan and brand new to Marathon running, Bobby Vose and Garry Kenny took up the challenge of the Manchester Marathon in May.
Both men work at Ena Shaw Ltd, the UK's premier manufacturer of made to measure blinds and curtains and contractor to The Olympic games village, and raised an outstanding sum of money for Macmillan and Willowbrook hospice.
The guys battled side by side in the awful weather conditions and were welcomed back to the factory on Monday morning to rapturous applause by their fellow workers. The fundraising by all the amazing employees at Ena Shaw has been ongoing since last year, raising over £10,000 to date. With further fundraising events planned including a netball tournament, an intrepid Lands End to John O'Groats non stop bicycle challenge by the Directors and management team, and countless games of bingo at lunchtime, this company are really making a difference and helping to improve the lives of local people affected by Cancer. Thank you so much.
