We want to keep you as up-to-date was we can regarding the Seabank Marathon, so please read on...
We know you are disappointed. We are too. We lost our organising partner, the Peter Paine Sports Centre in February so we had absolutely no choice but to cancel the 2011 Seabank Marathon. We could not effectively organise such a large event, in such a short timescale.
If you’ve done our Seabank Marathon, you will know that the health and safety of our runners and walkers has always been of paramount importance to us.
We have co-organised the Seabank Marathon with various partners, for 31 of the 33 events – in the heady ‘80s when Marathons were very popular we had over 900 entrants and completely filled the Boston Gliderdrome on Presentation Nights. Our ambition is to see this number of entrants and more again.
