Legacy reception event at Burghley House
Gifts in wills, fund over a third of all Macmillan Cancer Support’s services. Surprised? Most people are, which is why Macmillan hosted a legacy reception event recently at Burghley House, Stamford.
The event provided a rare opportunity to hear lots about Macmillan’s work in the local area, meet Macmillan’s amazing professionals, as well as the regional Macmillan legacy adviser Nancy Kirkham.
A couple of guests commented 'I have left a gift in my will to help other people.' 'I intend to leave a gift in my will because my friend had great support from her Macmillan nurse.'
Gifts in wills are vital in enabling Macmillan to provide medical, emotional, financial and practical support now and for future generations of people affected by cancer.
