Raised money for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Paul Medati.
Friday 23 and Saturday 24 April the GB 9 Pool Ball Tour calendar saw the second annual Paul Medati Trophy in memory of one of the tours bestloved players who sadly passed away during the first season having lost his fight against cancer.
Paul, a former top 32 snooker professional, retired and took a well earned break from the cue sport scene. Years later, he discovered the game of 9 ball, which reignited his passion for the game.
In the final year of his life Paul was still playing a very high standard of pool, beating a host of top players and regularly appearing in the final stages GB9 events despite being the oldest player on tour at the grand age of 64. Paul was a true professional sports person with a larger than life personality.
The event took place in Blackpool at the sun-soaked Barcelo Imperial Hotel, Fundraising activities took place throughout the event with donations going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Thank you to all of the committee members, players and spectatrors for your kind donations!
