Stuart Kettell, an amazing Macmillan fundraiser, on his canoe challenge
Stuart Kettell is still smiling after spending his first couple of nights locked inside a glass box suspended in the middle of Coventry city centre! Stuart's enter his 'box' on Monday 22 March 2010 to raise vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Perspex box measures just six foot by four foot and Stuart will be living in it until 6pm on Sunday 28 March 2010 to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. It is the latest in a string of madcap stunts which have raised over £20,000 for people affected by cancer. He has only taken in a sleeping bag, a toilet, a change of clothes and two buckets, which he lowers for food and donations.
Stuart is receiving a fantastic response from Coventry people and now has a regular column on the local paper dedicated to all the weird and wonderful donations given to him in his bucket. Apart from sausage rolls, cakes, coffee and tea he has also been given a can of hairspray for his green hair, a camera that squirts water and a purple wig!
The event is becoming so popular in Coventry that Tuesday 23 March 2010 saw three school mini buses stop for the kids to chat to him!
