Did you know that gifts left in wills fund over a third of all Macmillan Cancer Support's services?
Surprised? Most people are which is why Macmillan hosted a legacy reception event recently at Madingley Hall. The event provided a rare opportunity to hear lots about Macmillan’s work in the local area, meet Macmillan’s amazing professionals, as well as the regional Macmillan legacy adviser Nancy Kirkham.
A couple of guests commented “I have left a gift in my will because Macmillan supported my mother and the way you use funds is so broad and appropriate”. “I intend to leave Macmillan a legacy because they supported myself and family during the time of a cancer diagnosis”.
Gifts in wills are vital in enabling Macmillan to provide medical, emotional, financial and practical support now and for future generations of people affected by cancer.
