Face painting for the kids
Louise Green organised an event in memory of her sister-in-law and raised a fabulous £278 for Macmillan.
On the 22nd of January 2011 Louise Green's event, in memory of her sister-in-law Susan Ann Dobson-Edwards, went ahead and was a great success.
The total amount of money raised on the day was £528 and this was split between Macmillan and Leukemia Research. This is a brilliant amount of money and shows that with a little planning and hard work you can make fundraising look easy - Louise certainly did.
The Cumbria and Lancashire Team would like to take this opportunity to thank Louise for everything she achieved.
If you fancy getting involved in some fundraising; whether you've already got a fully formed idea or if you just want to have a chat with someone about the possibility of raising some money for Macmillan, don't hesitate to get in touch by calling 01925 846 740 or emailing fswinhoe@macmillan.org.uk|
And, in case Louise's story isn't incentive enough, this year is our centenary and we're looking for any way to celebrate our 100th birthday in style!
