The Tough Guys team of challengers
After getting involved with the Partners in Sport programme for the run up to the Olympics, the Aylesford Waitrose team decided they needed a goal to help them train.
So they jumped in with both feet and signed up to the Tough Guy challenge which involved eight miles of obstacles, ranging from 40-foot walls to climbing through mud.
Some of the more extreme sections involved barbed wire and long tunnels charged with electric wire able to shock the challengers.
Thirteen of Waitrose’s members survived the gruelling trek and raised a fantastic £824 for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity that is very close to their hearts.
