The boys showing their support for Macmillan
Pupils from Skinners School in Tunbridge Wells have raised a fantastic £2,511.11 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
28 boys for Year 10 took part in a Swimathon on 2 April, achieving an impressive 3,502 lengths between them to raise money for people affected by cancer.
The boys’ parents and the Year 10 tutor team came along on the day to count laps, cheer the boys on and provide some moral support.
Helene Poursain, Fundraising Manager for East Surrey and West Kent says: 'Thank you so much to all the boys who took part, and well done on doing so well. It was a great event and the money raised will make such a difference to people affected by cancer.’
Helene and Skinners School would like to say thank you to Tonbridge School, who kindly gave the boys use of their swimming pool for the event.
