The team at Parry Law
Parry Law has joined forces with Macmillan to exclusively offer a free will-writing service during April to the people of Herne Bay and surrounding areas.
For a limited time only, Parry Law will waive their fees, and instead will encourage clients to make a voluntary donation to Macmillan who celebrate their centenary in 2011. The firm has chosen Macmillan as their charity of the year and is also hosting a golf day to raise funds for people living with cancer in June.
97% of Macmillan’s funding comes from voluntary donations, over a third of which is from gifts in wills. These vital donations help fund Macmillan services across the UK, such as financial grants to cancer patients which last year totalled more than £230,000 across Kent supporting over 600 local people.
Kate Teasdale, Partner says: 'Parry Law is very proud to volunteer our legal expertise to help Macmillan Cancer Support. The money raised from this free will-writing initiative will help Macmillan to provide vital support services to people affected by cancer.'
Laura Kennedy, Fundraising Manager Macmillan says: 'We are extremely grateful to Parry Law for supporting Macmillan through this initiative. Whether people choose to donate now, in their wills or both, their donations are vital to ensure Macmillan continues to support people affected by cancer.'
