Maidstone Golf
Martin Metcalfe joined forces with his father-in-law to organise a Day of Golf at Ridge Golf Course in Maidstone on 9 June 2011
The fundraising day was arranged for the Mayor of Southwark’s annual charity drive. Sixty four people from building contracting companies in the Southwark area came together to take part, making the day a huge success. Following the day of golf, participants were rewarded with a dinner at the golf club where a raffle was also held, adding to the funds already raised.
Speaking of the day itself, Martin said: 'It was a great day enjoyed by all and we managed to raise nearly £2,500 for Macmillan.'
