The first Macmillan Chatham Proms evening raised an incredible £2,334.00.
On 27 March 2011, Members of the Chatham Rotary Club came together with the Medway Festival Choir, conductor Norman Blow and staff from Macmillan Cancer Support to thrill an audience of nearly 200 Macmillan supporters with an incredible ‘Evening at the Proms’ in celebration of Macmillan’s centenary year.
Held at Dickens World in Chatham, the event raised an incredible total of £2,334.00 from ticket sales and a raffle. All of the money raised will help to pay for Macmillan Cancer Support services in the local area, to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer in Kent.
A presentation of the cheque from the Rotary Club of Chatham to members of the Macmillan Cancer Support Medway Committee will be at Holiday Inn in Rochester on 15 June 8pm, Holiday Inn. Press are welcome to attend.
