There are a number of runs to take part in and raise money for Macmillan
The local Macmillan team is looking for runners to join Team Macmillan and raise money for people affected by cancer in the following forthcoming half marathons.
Signing up is simple. Firstly secure your place with the race organiser and then visit the website| to register for your place in Team Macmillan.
Anyone registering to join Team Macmillan will also receive a Macmillan running top or vest to wear during the event so they can easily be spotted by friends and family along the route and on completion of the race, runners will receive a goody bag.
This scenic, single-lap run is one of the South East's leading road races, which takes participants through some of Kent's finest countryside. 2011 saw the 30th anniversary of this race. Since the inaugural event in 1982, thousands of runners have completed the flat course which also benefits from the fact that it is traffic free. Join Team Macmillan for one of Kent's biggest events. Now in its 21st year, the event continues to grow in popularity. Starting at 10am, the half marathon sees competitors setting off and finishing at Eldon Way, Paddock Wood and taking a 13.1 mile (21.1 km) road route through the hop fields and orchards of Kent. This race is ideal as a warm-up for 'London' and is Kent's largest half marathon with excellent facilities including ample parking, supervised baggage store, refreshments, physiotherapist, results on the internet immediately after the event and full first aid cover.
