Penny and Bert enjoy their birthday bash
Husband and wife Penny and Bert Langridge celebrated their 65th and 70th birthdays with an all-day garden party in aid of Macmillan.
The party got under way at 11am and continued until 11pm at night, with raffles, tombolas. a guess the name competition, and finishing with a delicious barbecue.
Penny has been a brilliant supporter and member of the Isle of Wight Fundraising Committee for many years, with strong support from Bert. Although Bert is not an official committee member, he always attends and is first in line should the committee need help.
Penny is marvellous at arranging all the local street and store collections and persuading people to come out and collect on Macmillan’s behalf.
The birthday celebration raised more than £600 for Macmillan Cancer Support - our thanks go to Penny and Bert, and everyone who gave so generously.
