Team Nobu with Nobu Matsuhisa
Three members of staff from the two Nobu restaurants in London completed the London marathon this year, and raised a fantastic £12,000 through their fundraising.
Macmillan supporter Stuart Swan and his colleagues Marc Page and Paolo Pegoraro, who all work at the Nobu London restaurants on Old Park Lane and Berkeley Street, completed the London marathon as a team on Sunday 21 April. They organised fundraising events in the run-up to the marathon, as well as approaching their families, friends and colleagues for donations.
The Nobu restaurants and managers were extremely encouraging of the team’s efforts, and Stuart said, 'It would not be possible to raise such a fantastic amount without our bosses being so supportive.' Chef proprietor Nobu Matuhisa even took time out to pose for a photograph with the team and their medals.
Senior Challenge Events Programme Manager for Macmillan, Sue Blunt, said, 'Team Nobu has raised a fantastic sum for Macmillan, and we are truly grateful to Stuart, Marc and Paolo for all of their hard work. We look forward to continuing to work with them in the future.'
