The ever-adventurous Muggy boards the tube as part of his big Day Out
Macmillan Cancer Support’s infamous MacMug and friends were spotted earlier this month, staging ‘different’ fundraising ideas all over London for their ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.
MacMug the Macmillan mascot, otherwise known as Muggy, created an ideas generating video to inspire people to do something unusual for their coffee morning.
Macmillan Cancer Support are hoping that the video will encourage hosts who don’t like a traditional coffee and cake-type coffee morning to get involved. This way they can help raise even more money for this year’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ making it “the biggest yet”. What better way is there to celebrate Macmillan’s centenary?
One of the highlights of ‘Muggy’s Day Out’ in London was a dance class at Pineapple Dance Studios with the world-renowned choreographer Mark Battershall, one of the main choreographers in the Sky1 series, ‘Pineapple Dance Studios.’
Mark Battershall taught MacMug and the Macmillan girls how to be ‘fierce’ for their dance marathon coffee morning, reminding us that, “It doesn’t have to be coffee; it doesn’t have to be mornings.”
Sightings of Macmug and friends holding a pirate-themed coffee morning on the Southbank have already been reported. (Maybe you could celebrate “International talk like a pirate day” on 19th September for your coffee morning?)
Macmug and the girls were also spotted doing a mass impersonation of Boris Johnson on Boris bikes, as well as a car wash in Hammersmith and a sports day in Hyde Park.
