The Colchester group has been meeting regularly since 2008 and despite their busy work lives, they find time to fundraise and meet up socially.
The group organises a whole range of events including curry nights, collections at local supermarkets, coffee mornings and an annual Christmas Ball. They are always looking for new people to join the group and throw their ideas into the mix.
Last year the group raised over £10,000 for Macmillan and this year they are looking to beat this and make their biggest amount yet.
How can you get involved?
This already successful team is always happy to welcome new members to join them at their meetings, to discuss event ideas and then to join in and assist at the events themselves.
So, if you are looking to get out and meet some new friends, while doing something positive and rewarding or even if you are looking to gain some fundraising skills and can see yourself being a part of this friendly group, then we would love to hear from you.
Colchester Fundraising Group member, Rachel said: 'It's so nice to be part of a friendly and vibrant team of people, full of ideas and working together to help Macmillan. We organise some fantastic events and it's great to see all our ideas come to life. Being part of the group is so rewarding, it's great to know we can really make a difference!'
