Thank you for supporting our Ryedale collections

We would like to thank everyone who generously donated to our Ryedale collections this year. Five collections were organised which raised over £2000.

• 14 May, a total of £485.38 was collected in Pickering
• 20 June, a total of £354.32 was raised through the collection in Kirkbymoorside
• 26 July £153.40 was raised at Thornton le Dale
• 24 August £449.46 was raised at Helmsley
• 22 September £619.47 was raised in Malton

Sally Millington, Fundraising Manager, says: 'These really are magnificent amounts and we are so grateful to everyone who has made a donation. 1 in 3 people are affected by cancer. Over 2 million people are living with cancer across the UK. Everyone knows somebody who has been affected by cancer. But you don't have to go through it alone. The Macmillan team is with you every step of the way and the money raised through the collections means we will be able to reach more people when they need us.

'People have been so kind in making their donations and we'd like to say thank you to everyone who contributed. I would also like to thank all of the volunteers who have so generously donated their time to help us make the most of this opportunity and raise such wonderful amounts. We really couldn’t do it without them.

'We're always looking for people to help us with our collections, and we have some dates coming up at Morrisons in Malton, from Monday 12 to Thursday 15 November. All you need is a smile and we can provide the rest! Whether it’s an hour or two, it really does make a difference and we would love to hear from you if you may be able to help with future collections.’
