Join Team Macmillan in the UKs biggest half marathon – the Great North Run 2012.
If you would like to be a part of this iconic event but you have not received a place through the official ballot, Macmillan Cancer Support have some guaranteed places available. This year the event takes place on Sunday 16th September.
Sally Millington, Fundraising Manager has taken part in the past, ‘it is an absolutely amazing event. Yes, it is tough, but the support that you get on route from the crowds, cheering points and other runners makes it an incredible experience. People hand out jelly babies, oranges, drinks and lots of encouragement! It’s a fantastic achievement and definitely worth the hours of training.’
By signing up to run as part of Team Macmillan we’ll be there for you from the start, with a dedicated team providing both fundraising and training advice. We’ll prepare you for the big day, cheer you every step of the way from our three big supporter points, and be on hand with some well deserved refreshments at the finish. We'd love it, and we think you would too, if you took part in the Bupa Great North Run for Macmillan.’
