Jennifer Fawcett and Liz Airey, Macmillan
In 2012 Jennifer, aged 6 years old, raised a fantastic £265 for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of her dad John Fawcett.
Jennifer took part in the mini great north run, running nonstop for Macmillan. And she didn’t stop there. She then went on to organise a coffee morning, inviting all the neighbours and family.
Jennifer is a very keen fundraiser along with her mum, who has also ran the Great North Run for Macmillan. As a family they have chosen Macmillan as their charity to support because the local nurses were such a great support at their time of need.
Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed, you need a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. That’s who we are.
When the time is right, you can do something to help. We can all be part of the team. We are Macmillan Cancer Support.
If you would like to organise your own event or fundraise for Macmillan Cancer Support, please call 0300 1000 200 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or a fundraising pack.
