Retiring Mayor Denise Bunn handing cheque to Lindsay Kay Fundraising Manager for Tees Valley Area
The Retiring Mayor of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, Denise Bunn, has raised £5100 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The funds were raised through a golf day, charity ball, concerts, sponsored walk, a vintage tea party, selling of hand knitted scarves, boxing day dip and the Council’s apprentices held a sponsored abseil from a viaduct in Guisborough. Councillor Bunn said 'I have really enjoyed my year as Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland and I would like to say a big thank you to all those wonderful people who have supported me throughout the year.'
Lindsay Kay, Fundraising manager for Tees Valley would like to say a massive thank you to Councillor Denise Bunn and everyone who supported her throughout her year as Mayor of Redcar & Cleveland. The funds raised will make a difference to local people affected by cancer.
Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed, you need a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. That’s who we are.
When the time is right, you can do something to help. We can all be part of the team. We are Macmillan Cancer Support.
