Cheque presentation at Jacobs Engineering Group
Employees of Jacobs Engineering Group raise £1,600 for Macmillan Cancer Support and James Cook Testicular Cancer Clinic in Teesside.
During the week of 25 to 29 June 2012, current and former Stockton based Jacobs staff celebrated the 25th anniversary of the JSOFAST five-a-side football league with a series of fundraising activities. Culminating with over 100 participants in an afternoon football tournament at the local Powerleague premises (some of who jetted in from distant parts of the globe) and a prestigious evening function at Middlesbrough FCs Riverside Stadium, the fundraiser was a great success.
As a result of polo-shirt sales, a grand prize raffle, a Euro 2012 score predictor and bucket collections, a total of £1,600 was presented to Macmillan Cancer Support and James Cook Testicular Cancer Clinic.
Liz Airey, Macmillan Fundraising Manager, would like to thank Jacobs Engineering Group for their continued support and for choosing Macmillan once again as one of their charities. The money raised will go to help people affected by cancer in the local area.
