Awards dinner 22 November 2012
ISPE raise £3131 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The ISPE UK Affiliate held its annual seminars and awards dinner in Harrogate on 22 November 2012. It was a chance for the society’s members and their guests to enjoy an evening of good food and entertainment, and recognise the efforts and achievements of its volunteers.
A charity collection was held for Macmillan, in memory of long-standing secretary, Brian Sixsmith, who passed away earlier this year. Brian’s family had nominated Macmillan for donations in his memory.
ISPE is a membership society for professionals involved in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals and related products. It has 22,000 members in 90 countries worldwide, and through the efforts of its volunteers, keeps them informed of the latest technological and regulatory trends, and advances their education and technical efficiency.
Liz Airey, Fundraising Manager would like to say a huge thanks to everyone for raising such a fantastic amount to help people affected by cancer.
Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed, you need a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. That’s who we are.
When the time is right, you can do something to help. We can all be part of the team. We are Macmillan Cancer Support.
