George Newbury and Derek Redman from Hartlepool group with pupils from Dyke House School
Dyke House School in Hartlepool have been fundraising throughout 2012 and have raised an amazing amount to help local people affected by cancer.
The children got involved in all kinds of fundraising including deadline day, where they started school at 8.30am and had to complete tasks by 2.30pm. Another group of kids baked cakes, while others held a talent show and built a solar system to scale. Some did a triathlon and a version of the 3 peak, while others rowed from England to France on an indoor rowing machine.
The Hartlepool group are very grateful to receive such a generous donation and are delighted by the support they got from the school.
