The Northallerton fundraising committee for Macmillan have had a busy 2013 raising almost £7000 from several events.
Events included the annual Ladies Lunch in April which raised a record £2,215.26, Langton Farm refreshments in June, a concert by the Swale Valley Stompers with an afternoon of jazz in July, an Open Gardens Day, and the annual Flag Day in Northallerton High Street on 17 August (with help from members of the Swale Valley Stompers) which raised £1,273.79.
In addition the committee have been given cheques amounting to a further £2,655 (£435 from Hambleton District Council; £520 from a concert by Darlington Band and Northallerton College Band in May; £700 from Male Voice Choir concert in June; £1000 from Northallerton Variety Company concerts in memory of Ann Phillips in June). The committee are extremely grateful for all the support they have received this year.
Our next events will be the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in Northallerton Town Hall on Wednesday 18 September 9.00-2.00 and a return visit by North Country Theatre (presenting a comedy, The Lost World) on Saturday 9 November at The Forum, Northallerton, tickets £10.
