We were delighted to receive a cheque this month from Peover Golf Club in Cheshire for £3700 after being nominated as their charity of the year in 2009.
Captains David Lister and Sue Helm chose to support Macmillan in their year of captaincy to help support local people affected by cancer and were delighted to raise such a fantastic amount for Macmillan. They raised the money through several events including a charity golf day, but most of the money was raised by having a charity bunker.
