Macmillan gets to grips with some bat'leth-wielding Klingons!
Star trek and sci-fi fanatics from across the country congregated in Buckinghamshire in September raising an impressive £1,543.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Guests at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Central Milton Keynes were treated to a scrumptious three-course banquet, auction, celebrity speaker and disco! Star Trek actor John Carrigan’s exclusive clip from the new online saga was met with woops of delight and a bidding war broke out following the unveiling of a fake silver sword used by the cast of the original TV show!
All of the guests wore Star trek and sci-fi costumes and on arrival were snapped against a huge space-themed backdrop by a professional photographer.
The event was such a success that the organisers - Admiral Mackenzie and Fleet Captain Kehlan of the Federation/Klingon Rapid Response Fleet – respectively, are doing it all again next year! It is to be held at the same venue, on Saturday 9 October 2010.
