The team presents Macmillan with a cheque
This year Clevedon Bowling Club has been fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support and recently presented us with a cheque for £3,340.
Throughout the year a whole host of inventive fundraising events have been organised by dedicated members of the group to raise money for people affected by cancer, ranging from Keith Bristow’s magnanimous bike ride, which raised £1550, to a Safari supper which raised £190.
Other fundraising events have included coffee mornings, raising £580, a bonus ball draw which made £200, and a number of “fines” on the club tour raising a further £220. Club members donated through subscriptions, and many individuals also donated towards the total.
Thank you to everyone involved in raising such a remarkable amount, for all your effort and dedication.
