Local partnership with Sainsbury's set to help the local community.
Sainsburys in Luton have chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as their charity of the year to support local people affected by cancer.
The staff at Sainsbury's of Berry Park, Luton, are bursting with ideas to get them started, and are launching the partnership on Friday 29 July. It's set to be an exciting day with lots of fun activities including 'Boss In A Box', in which willing department managers see who can raise the most money for Macmillan during their time in a box.
Macmillan volunteers and Sainsburys staff will be there to hand out Macmillan literature, providing vital information about our sevices.
Look out for an appearance from Mac Mug too-he will be spreading the word about Macmillans biggest annual event-World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
A huge thank you to all the Sainsbury's staff and customers for voting for Macmillan, who really felt Sainsbury's could build a strong partnership with Macmillan and make a positive difference to the local community. Everyone involved is looking forward to an exciting year ahead.
