Travel arrangements

 

The 2008 hikers in Nepal.

All the travel elements of the event, including all flights and ground arrangements, are organised for Macmillan by Discover Adventure Limited, ATOL number 5636, and will be covered by Discover Adventure Limited’s ATOL bond.  

Of your £350 registration fee, £100 will be paid to Discover Adventure Limited by Macmillan in respect of your travel arrangements approximately five months before the trip. 

The full cost of the travel arrangements is approximately £1,450. The final payment for your travel arrangements will be taken from your sponsorship money. 

Adventure travel - essential facts

Every reasonable effort is made by Discover Adventure Limited, the organiser of the challenge, to ensure that the challenge is as safe as possible for all participants.

However, you should be aware that adventure travel is potentially hazardous because of the relative remoteness of the location, the tough terrain, the weather conditions and the limited facilities available. 

The challenge can be very physically demanding. In the event that you become injured or ill during the challenge, medical facilities may not be immediately available and are unlikely to be of UK standard. This is an adventurous and challenging hike. The hike is conceived and operated by Discover Adventure Limited.
