Join Macmillan for an unforgettable trek along ancient and remote sections of the Great Wall of China.
After experiencing some of the stunning reconstructed sections we head off the beaten track through lush-farmland and dense wooded areas, tackle the 300 steps of ‘Heavens Ladder’ and continue to follow the Wall as it snakes across the contours of the Yanshan mountains.
Surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views, along the way we encounter steep climbs, crumbling watchtowers, and remarkable rural communities. The challenge concludes with a return to the bustle of Beijing and a chance to explore fascinating places such as the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.
By taking part you’ll make a big difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
