The Longest Day Golf Challenge is the most exhilarating golf event in the UK today. That's what participants tell us, and that's what we strive for it to be. Here's how it works.
Bring together a team of up to four heroes to take on the challenge and register with us|. We’ll then send your team captain a welcome pack with everything you need to help make your day a success, including scorecard and sponsorship forms.

Choose a day for your challenge. The longest day of the year is Friday 21 June, but if you can’t play then, there will be enough daylight between May and August to power you through.
Getting support is easy, to kick start your fundraising simply set up an online sponsorship page at justgiving.com|. Justgiving.com lets friends, family and colleagues sponsor you from anywhere in the world. The money will go straight into our account without you having to chase anyone up for donations. We’ll also include sponsor forms and a collection box in your welcome pack.
Set up your page on the Longest Day Golf Justgiving page|.
It sounds obvious, but ask everyone you know to sponsor you or help out on the day. Also, encourage all the golfers you know to follow your shining example and enter a team.
The next step is to book your tee times and decide: will you play all four rounds on one course, or spread them out between two or more?
A club where you are a member or where you play often may be most likely to support your challenge. Don't forget to mention that you're raising money for Macmillan - your club might reduce their green fees, or throw in a free bacon butty!
Superheroes usually keep their identity secret but we need you to shout about your challenge. Pop posters up in your club, tell all your Facebook and Twitter followers and contact the local press.
