The Longest Day Golf Challenge is the most exhilarating golf event in the UK today. That's what participants tell us, and that's what we strive for it to be. Here's how it works...
You need three or four players to qualify for the prizes, although single golfers and pairs can also take part. Remember to choose people you get on well with – you will have to spend all day together!
Make sure your form contains a captain name, additional player names and a team name along with contact details. Once you've signed up, we'll send you your guidelines for the ultimate day of golf, a scorecard, sponsorship forms - in short, everything you need to make your day one to remember.
Register online now.|
Pick a date for your event carefully. The light should be good enough from mid May until late August, but we recommend June or July. Remember the official longest day this is Thursday 21 June 2012.
Contact your local club and book your tee times. Why not really go to town and play four different courses? And don't forget to mention that you're raising money for Macmillan. Your club might reduce their green fees, or throw in a free bacon butty!
Justgiving.com lets friends and colleagues sponsor you from anywhere in the world. The money will go straight into our account without you having to chase anyone up for donations. Set up your page on the Longest Day Golf Justgiving page|.
It sounds obvious, but ask everyone you know to sponsor you or help out on the day. Also, encourage all the golfers you know to follow your shining example and enter a team.
