Can we use golf buggies? Back to top

We feel that in order to complete the ultimate challenge you shouldn't use golf buggies, we do however appreciate that this isn't always suitable if your course is exceptionally long or you are playing in extreme temperatures outside the UK.

Can we play different golf courses? Back to top

Yes of course you can. It is up to you how hard you make your challenge. Don't forget that this will really slow your progress down, make sure you don't run out of light.

Do we use our full handicaps? Back to top

Yes. Scoring is the best two stableford scores in the team per hole, with full handicap allowance. Active and inactive handicaps will be accepted.

If a member of the team does not have an official handicap, are we still able to take part in the challenge? Back to top

Yes, absolutely. Please note that if your team were to get through to the finals competition, the player would be required to have their handicaps validated and a certificate obtained.

We would like to play 100 holes, can we still register for the Longest Day Golf Challenge? Back to top

Yes, absolutely. Just simply fill in the results form with your scores from the first 72 holes played and we will enter your scores into the challenge competition.

What tees should we play from? Back to top

In order to save time you should play off the forward tees (men - yellow, ladies - red).

Can under 18's take part? Back to top

Yes of course, however any teams with under 18's must have at least one adult (over 18 years) in their team.

Are team members able to be changed after we have registered? Back to top

Yes - please email us at golf@macmillan.org.uk| with your team reference number and the team member's details to be amended.

When will I receive my event pack? Back to top

All captains will be sent an event pack within 10 working days. The pack will contain event guidelines, sponsor forms and a paying in slip.

My company have agreed to match all/part of my donation. How do I let Macmillan know? Back to top

Where will the finals be held? Back to top

For the fifth year running the finals competition will be held at the prestigious Boavista Golf Resort|, Western Algarve, Portugal.
