How can you spread the word about your fundraising event to ensure maximum awareness and success?
Striking posters and flyers are one of the best ways of getting noticed. We can help you create your very own masterpiece on www.be.macmillan.org.uk|. No special skills are needed and there are many, many designs to choose from. You can also download our logo.
How about getting your event noticed with balloons, t-shirts, stickers or even a green curly wig? Call our Fundraising Support Centre on 0300 1000 200 to discuss what you might need, and they'll order it for you.
Make the most of the internet and email. Why not spread the word:
You can't go wrong with promoting your fundraising activity through local media. Get in touch with newsdesks at local newspapers or try to get the local radio and television stations interested in your event. You could invite the local press to attend your event on the day - send an invitation two weeks in advance. Include an invite for one of their photographers to come along.
But please contact your local fundraising office| first for help and advice.
If you work for a company with an internal magazine or newsletter, don't forget to send them information too - the editor may well be keen to hear about your news and see pictures, especially if other members of staff from the company are involved.
Good luck and here's wishing you lots of great coverage for your events!
