Travel arrangements 

All the travel elements of the event, including all flights and ground arrangements, are organised for Macmillan by Discover Adventure Limited, ATOL number 5636. Of your  registration fee, £100 will be paid to Discover Adventure Limited by Macmillan in respect of your travel arrangements approximately five months before the trip.

The full cost of the travel arrangements is approximately £684; you will be notified of the exact cost that Macmillan will be paying on your behalf at a later date. The final payment for your travel arrangements will be taken from your sponsorship money. The remainder of the sponsorship raised (£1,550) will be treated as a donation to the charity.

If you raise over the minimum sponsorship, 100% of the surplus will benefit Macmillan. 

Adventure travel - essential facts

Every reasonable effort is made by Discover Adventure Ltd, the organisers of the challenge, to ensure that the challenge is as safe as possible for all participants. However, you should be aware that adventure travel is potentially hazardous because of other road users, the weather conditions and the toughness of each day’s ride.

The challenge can be very physically demanding. In the event of your being injured or becoming ill whilst on the challenge, medical facilities may not be immediately available and may differ from UK standard. This is an adventurous and challenging bike ride. The bike ride is conceived and operated by Discover Adventure Ltd.
