Fundraising tips

To give you a head-start we have set out a few hints and tips, which will hopefully make fundraising just that little bit easier for you.

• Set up a Justgiving webpage

  So that friends, family and colleagues can sponsor you from anywhere in the world. Log onto www.justgiving.com/macmillan and create away!
  
  

• Matched Giving

  Ask your manager if your company operates a Matched Giving scheme. This is a great way of doubling your sponsorship.
  
  

• Organise a sweepstake for a sporting event

  The FA Cup, Wimbledon or the Grand National. Ask everyone to make a donation and get them involved in your fundraising.
  
  

• Smarties!

  Did you know that a tube of Smarties holds £27 worth of £1 coins? Give your friends/colleagues a tube and challenge them to fill it - you'll be amazed at how well this works.
  
  

• Raffle a day's holiday

  Ask your boss to raffle off a day's holiday - you're sure to get loads of takers!
