Macmillan uses door to door fundraisers, postal appeals, magazine inserts and phone calls to recruit new supporters.
Contacting people through these channels is a very cost-effective way for charities to get donations from large numbers of supporters. We track all responses to our appeals to ensure that we are investing funds wisely.
It is important to us that we continue to keep our supporters involved in the work we are able to do thanks to their generous support. We also sometimes ask for further donations, if they can spare them, so that we can continue to grow our services and become more influential as a force for change.
We use postal appeals, raffles, and phone calls to contact our supporters. These raise a huge amount of money to help people at all stages of their cancer journey.
