I think it is important to have good spacious rooms when you go for consultations.

Literally sometimes on diagnosis,

where I was at my hospital, it was nice enough,

but the thing is you were sitting that close to the doors,

that you could hear what somebody else was being told.

So I think that is important to have the privacy.

And I think, sitting in a room just opposite somebody just feels like an interview,

whereas if you’re sitting more comfortably you feel like you’re on the same wavelength.

I think when you have got cancer you lose a lot of confidence,

you lose a lot of things about yourself,

I think when somebody is sat behind a desk it make you feel like you are listening to them rather than being part of the same conversation,

so I think sometimes it is important that you feel that you are being yourself,

and sometimes, if the room is a bit more casual I think you get a better consultation really,

and you feel like you are a little bit more in control of it as well.
