My dad died of cancer six years ago and he had several Macmillan nurses and they were absolutely terrific.

My mum couldn’t have managed without them because we had him at home.

I had cancer and I was cured.

I had treatment for two and a half years so I saw many people who did survive and many people who didn’t.

It’s sort of close to my heart really. And I’m one of the lucky ones.

We’re fine now! We’re actually thinking of jogging the end.

Its great fun, very well organised.

We had the boy scouts and girl guides there ready to, you know, make sure we were on the right track

and it was great fun. And I walked with a young chap I’d never met before; chatting away and the miles just went by.

Yeah, good. Sore foot! Other than that it was absolutely brilliant.

I raised fifty two pound. I raised twenty pound. We raised twenty.

These guys did it for their granddad.

Really special walk it was, we liked it and we raised lots of money.

Every year I’ve done some sort of charity walk for Macmillan, so it’s another ten miles walk completed.

It really is a marvellous and fantastic charity, great service and therefore we just wanted to do it.

To show our support for Macmillan because we are aware of what good work they do for people who are sick

and because of their dedication we wanted to raise money. And that's the reason we are walking.
