How we produce our information|
Children with learning disabilities may need a different approach and support to help them in their understanding of a parent's cancer. Often, children with learning disabilities find it easier to understand information if it is presented as pictures rather than written text. A book called Getting on With Cancer is available from the Royal College of Psychiatrists|.
The British Institute of Learning Disabilities| gives advice and support about communicating with children who have learning disabilities.
